Pontifical Biblical Commission Responses

We have begun to post the early texts from the Pontifical Biblical Commission (PBC); these statements are difficult to find on the Internet. With a few minor stylistic changes, the responses will mirror the English translation found in the 1964 compendium, Rome and the Study of Scripture. For the sake of comparison, sources for the Latin and English texts will be included with each response. The Latin sources are Acta Sanctae Sedis (ASS); Acta Apostolicae Sedis (AAS); Denzinger/Schönmetzer's Enchiridion Symbolorum (DS); and Enchiridion Biblicum (EB). The English sources are Denzinger's The Sources of Catholic Dogma (D); Rome and the Study of Scripture (RSS); Official Catholic Teachings: Bible Interpretation (OCTBI); and The Scripture Documents (TSD).
